Nina-Grace Quintanilla

Nina-Grace Quintanilla is a multi-hyphenate artist and fourth-year Kenan Excellence Scholar in the School of Drama. She expects to receive a BFA in Acting with a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship in May of 2024. Her arts practice is led by a passion for language and the strong belief that theatre and the arts deserve a place in our nation's larger health and wellness model.

Nina-Grace came to UNCSA by way of Houston, Texas where she began acting training at age 14 at the Humphreys School of Musical Theater Academy program; the pre-professional program at Houston's renowned Theatre Under the Stars. Back home, she also learned writing and performance on the stages of Writers in the Schools Houston's Space City Slam series. She was named Space City Grand Slam Champion in 2019.

Outside of writing and performance, Nina-Grace can be found in the trenches of new play dramaturgy developing projects with friends, making DIY floral arrangements in her kitchen, or in the UNCSA library reading about neuroscience and trauma-informed art process.

She is thrilled to be sharing the spark of language and self-expression with some of Winston-Salem's youngest community members through ArtistCorps.
