Réal Simone Nero is an actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. Despite being named after the soccer team Real Madrid, she decided to have an early retirement from the sport and dive into the world of the arts. She made her star studded debut as a mouse in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella." Since then she still wishes for every project to have that childlike whimsy as well to inspire people to be more empathetic, vulnerable and brave.
She likes every piece she works on to feel like putting together a really hard puzzle. She enjoys working classic texts that feel like they could have been written yesterday, big epic farces, pieces centering around romantic or familial relationships, collaborating and writing new work.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and buying books (two different separate hobbies), finding the best cappuccino in town,trying any recipe that requires brown butter, and leaving it all out on the dance floor. This year Réal will portray Roxanne in "Cyrano" and Josie in a new piece “A Portrait of a Mother”.
