Salomé Ayers Sánchez

Salomé Amill Ayers-Sánchez is a femme Afro Boricua Wig and Makeup Graduate Student at University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). She is an alumnus of the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras with a major in Theatrical Design and Art History, and a minor in Women and Gender Studies.

She has always been passionate about the arts, and found their calling in theater as a way to express their creativity and explore social issues.Their interests focus on dramatic literature analysis, and diversity and race representation in theater. Salomé is a firm believer of theater as an educational tool that transforms lives and provokes social change. They are committed to using their skills as a designer and scholar to contribute to this goal. Salomé is excited to continue her research and advocacy work using her knowledge and creative skills to make a difference in the entertainment industry.
