UNCSA Homecoming Weekend

UNCSA Homecoming 2025: Family & Alumni Weekend is Oct. 10-12, 2025! You're invited to join fellow UNCSA Alumni and current families in Winston-Salem for a weekend full of fun!

With performances, parties, campus tours, faculty-led workshops, food, friends and fun, this is a weekend you won't want to miss. Come rediscover the magic of UNCSA this Fall as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the campus opening. We can't wait to see you!

Frequently Asked Questions

What food options are available during Homecoming?

Grab and go breakfast, the Chancellor’s Welcome Breakfast on Saturday, and a voucher for the dining hall are included with each registration. Please note that space is limited for the Chancellor’s Welcome Breakfast.

Refreshments will also be served at the Parent and Student Social and Alumni Beaux Arts Ball.

Food trucks will be on campus during the Block Party. Note that meals from the food trucks are not included with registration

Where is check-in located?

Check-In is located on the first floor of Hanes Students Commons. Refer to the interactive campus map for directions.

Where is parking? Will there be shuttle service available?

Parking on campus can be found in lots J and N. Golf cart shuttles will be running from campus parking to the Welcome Center and various campus locations for anyone with accessibility needs.

Overflow parking is available at the YWCA near campus at 1300 S Main St, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. A shuttle will run between the YWCA parking lot and UNCSA Campus. Shuttles will operate between 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

How do I find the schedule for Homecoming?

The schedule for Homecoming is coming soon! It will be available in the Whova App and on our website. For the most detailed and up to date information, as well as alerts about events, please join us in the Whova App.

What should I do if I have problems locating an event on campus?

Look for a Homecoming volunteer in a green shirt. Volunteers can point you in the right direction!

Can I still attend if I didn’t register?

Yes! Registration is required for most events but will remain open through the weekend. You can register for Homecoming at any point throughout the weekend at Check-In, located on campus at the Welcome Center.

Do I have to register to attend only one event?

Yes, please register for Homecoming even if you will not attend the full weekend. Most events will require a Homecoming lanyard.

Who can attend the Alumni Beaux Arts Ball?

All alumni, current faculty, grad students and staff are welcome to attend Alumni Beaux Arts.

Can alumni bring a plus one to the Beaux Arts Ball?

Yes, alumni are welcome to bring a plus one.

Can current students attend Homecoming events?

Students are welcome and encouraged to attend the Block Party and Parade on Saturday, as well as the Alumni Panel on Sunday. They are also invited to attend their conservatory's meetup on Friday evening, and the Welcome Breakfast and Parent & Student Social on Saturday when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What hotels are near campus?

A list of recommended accomodations can be found here. Special rates are available for Homecoming at several nearby hotels including the West Salem Art Hotel, Brookstown Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites – Downtown, The Cardinal Hotel, Hotel Indigo and Hampton Inn & Suites.

Is there alcohol available for purchase?

Alcoholic beverages will be served to those who can present photo ID at the Parent & Student Social and the Alumni Beaux Arts Ball. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase at conservatory meetups Friday night.

How can I find the different events once on campus?

Use the interactive map to navigate campus and refer to way finding instructions in the Whova event listings. Volunteers in green shirts will be stationed throughout campus and can provide assistance finding events.
