Ditch the paper and Word docs: OneNote Training

Do you have too many notebooks lying around filled with to-do lists?  Are you struggling to keep up with an overflowing inbox?  Are you looking for ways to better organize all the information coming at you at a furious pace?  If you answered yes to any of the above, come learn the basics of Microsoft’s digital note-taking app, OneNote, and take back control!  No prior experience is necessary. Performance Place Tour

Take a tour of Performance Place, home to three campus theatre venues and classrooms. Performance Facilities staff will share their role in making our theatres run well. Bonus: you will get to see the set of Sweeny Todd which will run Nov. 10-19 in Freedman Theatre. By Wiley Hausam and Performance Facilities personnel. Craft Circle & Demonstrations

This month’s Craft Circle offers a few different experiences. Debby Pyatt is going to be teaching how to make a cloth napkin or coaster using the sewing machines in the Maker Space. Dee Cooke is going to be teaching how to create an acrylic painting. And you can bring your own craft and work alongside your fellow UNCSA crafters. Come enjoy a great group of creative people! Extreme Couponing

Learn how to coupon the easy way! Whether you’re a beginner or looking for fresh ways to save with coupons, you do not want to miss this session. You don’t have to be into extreme couponing to save money on household essentials, groceries and apparel. Join us for an hour of learning where to find coupons, best stores to use coupons and how to grocery shop on a budget.  Led by Ramona Richmond (online). Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 2-3 p.m.

UNCSA Archives Tour

Get a behind-the-scenes tour of the UNCSA Archives, which holds historical records and collections documenting the history of UNCSA from its founding in 1963 and opening in 1965 to the present. You’ll learn more about the kinds of collections we hold and how you can access them for research, projects, or personal interest. Plus, get a guided tour of our current exhibit, Designing a Legacy: Christina Giannini at NCSA, featuring costume and scene designs from our school’s first resident costumer. By Kait Dorsky. Asset Panda & Insurance

We will have two insurance agents to speak and answer questions about the Master Music/Moveable vs. Content insurance policy. Shannon Cavanaugh will speak on Asset Panda, which is a software program for inventory, and how it works. The insurance policy covers an array of equipment and furniture. Spanish-English Conversation Meetup

Students, faculty and staff are welcome to this bilingual conversation group. Whether you learned your second language years ago, are studying using a language app or are interested in learning a second language, this no-pressure meetup will be a fun way to meet the bilingual campus community. Music Performance Hour

Enjoy a the last Performance Hour of this semester featuring students from the School of Music in Crawford Hall. Affinity Groups

Gather to mix and mingle with other employees. An Affinity Group is a group of faculty and staff linked by a common purpose, ideology, or interest. Affinity Groups can play a vital role in ensuring an inclusive environment where all are valued, included, and empowered to succeed.
