Meet-and-greet with alumni engagement director Rebecca Burkeen
We are thrilled to welcome Rebecca Burkeen to UNCSA, who joined the Office of Advancement
on Jan. 2 as alumni engagement director.
The Office of Advancement will be hosting a meet-and-greet for Rebecca. All faculty
and staff members are invited to come meet Rebecca and get to know more about her
experience and her vision for growing and expanding alumni engagement efforts at UNCSA!
Refreshments will be served.

About Rebecca Burkeen
Rebecca has more than 13 years of alumni engagement experience in higher education,
and joins UNCSA from the Oregon Institute of Technology, where she has served as director
of alumni relations for the past six years. A graduate of the University of San Diego,
she was president of the Portland alumni chapter of the University of San Diego and
continues to serve on the university’s national board of directors.
Born in Puerto Rico, Rebecca grew up traveling the world as a part of a military family.
An avid dancer and dance teacher, Rebecca has had a professional dance career with
the NFL San Diego Chargers, the AFL Portland Forest Dragons, the NBA Portland Trailblazers,
and the Portland Musical Theater Company. She has great ideas and tremendous passion
for alumni engagement and has hit the ground running in her first two weeks on the
job.
