Applications open for SGA Executives
Applications for SGA Executive positions for the 2024-25 academic year open on April 1. All applications must be submitted in their entirety by April 15.
Undergraduate students interested in applying for SGA Executive must meet all of the
following requirements at the time of application and during their tenure of service.
Applicants for SGA Executive must:
- Be enrolled as a degree-seeking (as defined in the UNCSA student handbook) undergraduate student of UNCSA.
- Be a rising second, third, or fourth-year student. (Exception of the year may be granted at the discretion of SGA Advisor for students transitioning from UNCSA High School to College).
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Be in “good standing” with their respective art school.
- Be in “good standing” with the Office of the Vice Provost Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Director of Student Conduct. Students who are subjects of conduct hearings or investigations will be deemed “ineligible” to apply or serve on SGA.
- Return to UNCSA in early August to attend Student Leadership Retreat/Training. Members who have already served one year or more on the team with extenuating circumstances may request to be exempt from this training, with approval from the SBP and SGA Advisor.
- Serve the entirety of their tenure, beginning at training (s) and concluding the first Wednesday in April of the following academic year.
- At the time of appointment, candidates for SGA Executive shall have served one academic year in a student leadership role (i.e., Resident Advisor, SGA Associate, SGA Executive, Welcome Squad Coordinator/Member, leadership with a student club/organization, etc.).
