End of State Employees Combined Campaign approaching
Halloween isn’t the only thing coming up! The end of UNCSA’s State Employees Combined
Campaign (SECC) is just four weeks away, and we have a long way to go to meet our
goals.
SECC is the official workplace giving campaign for state employees in North Carolina. It’s your chance to give to causes that you are passionate about.
There are more than 750 local, state, national and international charities eligible
for donations in this year’s campaign. Please visit the SECC website or the Charity Navigator to learn more about this year’s charities.
Our campaign runs through Friday, Nov. 21. The UNCSA cash goal this year is to donate a combined $5,000 and the participation
goal is 50 employees. Thus far we have raised $2,176 from 17 donors. Last year, 42
employees contributed more than $6,300!
Donating online is fast, convenient and impactful. Earlier this month, you were emailed
an "ePledge" link, allowing you to make your pledge online. You may also donate via
the 2025 Online Pledge Form that can be submitted directly to the SECC. If you would like to space out your contributions,
payroll deduction is available (January through December 2026). All your contributions
are tax-deductible.
If you make your donation by the end of our campaign on Nov. 21, you’ll be entered
into a raffle to win a reserved parking spot near your office, complete with an SECC Donor sign. Please note that because of tax rules you will
still need to pay for the spot using the non-reserved rate.
Are you concerned about the welfare of military veterans? Do you want to help areas
that are still affected by natural disasters? Were you once a child without adequate
food at home? Have you been personally affected by the loss of a friend or loved one
to cancer, heart disease, or a myriad of other illnesses? Your donation, combined
with others in the SECC, can make a real difference.
