UNCSA Orientation Leaders
Dedicated to building a strong sense of community, Orientation Leaders (known as the
Welcome Squad) are current UNCSA college students who understand the challenges of transitioning
to conservatory college life.
These student leaders play a vital role in supporting incoming students by coordinating
move-in activities, leading events during orientation week, offering a welcoming presence,
and hosting virtual summer sessions to connect with new students before their arrival.
Orientation Leaders answer questions, share personal experiences, and help ease the
transition to life at UNCSA. They are guided by the Director of Student Orientation,
Aaron Ross, and the Orientation Coordinator, Christopher Crawford, who oversee the
application and selection process each spring.
