UNCSA Alert testing schedule changing to quarterly
Beginning Friday, Oct. 30, at 10 a.m., University Police will transition from monthly
UNCSA Alert tests to quarterly tests.
Quarterly tests will take place on the last Friday of January, April, July, and October
at 10 a.m. Each test will include a full-system test across the following communication
channels:
- Text message
- Voice notification (phone call)
- Red banner on the UNCSA website
- UNCSA Alert website
- Desktop notification
- UNCSA social media
- Digital signage
- UNCSA Safety App
- Indoor and outdoor emergency speakers
UNCSA Alert is the university’s emergency notification system, designed to provide timely emergency
information to the campus community through multiple communication channels.
These routine tests help ensure the system is functioning properly and that the campus
community can receive important information when needed. If you have any questions
about the updated testing schedule, please contact Clarisse Davis at davisc@uncsa.edu.
