Special Committee and Task Forces

Task Forces and Ad Hoc Committees are created to deal with specific and nonrecurring issues and are usually discharges with the completion of their report or of a project requiring interdepartmental involvement.

Calendar and Space Committee

Implement a campuswide calendar and space management system to provide self-service room reservations, decentralize space requests, synchronize with the Registrar Office classroom space assignments, display feeds on digital signage and webpages for virtual and in-person events and report on space usage for decisions for facility renovation or new construction.

Lead: Terry Harmon. Coordination with Information Technologies, Performance Facilities, Registrar's Office, Strategic Communication, area space schedulers.

Employee Appreciation Week Planning Committee

Plan and implement the annual Employee Appreciation Week schedule and activities.

Chair: Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer Angela Mahoney.

Members include: Victoria Nash, Latonya Wright, Karen McCormick, Ramona Richmond, Hector Mitchell, Gregory Foreman, Tramaine Brown, Betty Tilley, Nita Mobley, Meika Loyd, Cappi Shelton, Kemora Brownlee, Lauretta Baldwin, Susan Porter, Aretha Sutton, Ashley Lewis, Misty Claude, Sharon Hill.

Orientation Email Communication

Collect and evaluate all email communication that admitted students receive prior to and during Orientation.

Lead: Aaron Ross. Coordination between Admissions, Student Affairs, and Strategic Communications.

University Librarian Search Committee

The search for our new University Librarian has been relaunched this fall, with an expanded search committee of faculty and staff representatives including:
 
  • Two co-chairs, Kait Dorsky (University Archivist) and Darren Miller (Film faculty)
  • Two additional faculty members, Andrew Britt (DLA) and Carl Forsman (Drama)
  • Two additional Library staff, Melissa Carroll (business officer) and Alexa Torchynowycz (metadata librarian)
  • Dean/Student Affairs representative, Laurel Donley (Vice Provost of Student Affairs)
