Snow days

We've had a great deal of snow days recently and we were unable to attend class for a week. The plans we had made were seriously altered. Upon returning to class, we were expecting have to start all the way over. When we began with a review we were shocked to see how much of the information the students were able to recall.

What I found interesting was that with each answer they gave they also did the choreography or movement we had taught a week ago. I think this just further emphasizes the importance, validity, and power of teaching in a very active creative way. We have learned that the more you stretch their imagination, their brain, the way in which they think about things, keep it active, the more information they're able to call.
