Luke Shaver is an ATI certified Alexander Technique Teacher. Luke holds a B.A. in piano performance from Appalachian State University. He performs regularly as a guest and collaborative pianist and is a teaching member of the Winston Salem Piano Teachers Association.
He has worked with performing organizations and churches across North Carolina including the Flat Rock Playhouse, Blue Ridge Orchestra, Dean’s Duets Charlotte, Montreat College Choir, Haywood Repertory Theatre, Mars Hill University Vocal Department, Asheville Symphony Youth Orchestra, Asheville Area Piano Forum, First Baptist Asheville, Canton Presbyterian, West Asheville Baptist, St. George’s Episcopal Asheville, St. James Episcopal Black Mountain, and New Hope Presbyterian Gastonia.
Luke is formerly a faculty teacher and accompanist at Montreat University. He has been teaching and freelancing piano in NC for fourteen years and maintains a robust studio of youth and adults. He is the former music director at New Hope Presbyterian Gastonia.
He is a Realtor with Leonard Ryden Burr and he enjoys woodworking in his free time.
