Michael Borowiec

Michael Borowiec is an award-winning filmmaker and university-level educator with extensive experience in screenwriting, producing, VFX and post-production. He is the writer/director of the critically acclaimed feature "Man Underground," distributed by Lionsgate, and has multiple in-development projects with recognized industry partners.

With expertise spanning screenwriting, producing and cutting-edge visual effects technology, Borowiec strives to cultivate dynamic learning environments that equip students for today’s rapidly evolving media landscape. He is passionate about fostering cross-cultural collaborations and bridging traditional artistry with emerging technologies, and aims to inspire and empower the next generation of bold filmmakers and storytellers.

I believe the best film education helps students develop both craft and instinct — giving them the tools to shape a story, while encouraging them to trust the strange, personal, and specific impulses that make their work their own.
