What is In-State Residency?

The University of North Carolina School of the Arts defines "In-State Residency" when referring to an academic program and/or tuition rate, as outlined and defined in the North Carolina General Statute 116.143.1.

When and where can I purchase textbooks for my classes?

Once you arrive on campus and receive your schedule, you will purchase your textbooks from the virtual campus bookstore.

Does UNCSA have scheduled breaks during the Fall semester?

For information on important dates including academic breaks (i.e. Fall Break, Thanksgiving, and Winter Break) please see the Academic Calendar.

Does UNCSA offer a shuttle service from any airports?

The Office of Student Transportation provides scheduled shuttles to Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC (airport code GSO) during academic breaks: Fall, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break.

Student Transportation does NOT provide shuttles to Raleigh or Charlotte airports. Important: Student Transportation is not available to provide airport shuttles at the beginning/end of the academic year (August and May).
