Preparatory Dance Program Presents "Letters to Santa"

The Preparatory Dance Program will hold a fun holiday event for families called Letters to Santa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 in the BB&T Lobby of Ace Exhibition Complex on the campus at 1533 South Main St. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, write a letter to Santa, play games, make crafts, and even have their picture taken with Santa himself.

Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased in advance by calling the Stevens Center box office at (336) 721-1945. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Preparatory Dance Program.

The Preparatory Dance Program at UNC School of the Arts is an after-school, pre-professional training program whose mission is to prepare students for possible entry into the School of Dance’s high school division. Students in the program receive classes in ballet technique, pointe and pre-pointe, Pilates, creative movement, music appreciation, dance history, contemporary dance, jazz dance, musical theater dance, and acting/clowning-based character training. The Preparatory Program and its faculty are dedicated to nurturing young dancers, providing world-class instruction and helping students reach their full potential.
