Performance Overview

David Higgs, Minehan Family Professor of Organ and chair of the Organ Department at the Eastman School of Music, will conclude the inaugural dedication series for Noack Organ Co.'s Opus 171 at Augsburg Lutheran Church. An internationally acclaimed performer, Higgs was praised by "The New York Times" for his "unusual sense of tempo that is at once buoyant and rock-steady, and an imaginative judgment of organ registrations that subtly exploits a wide range of effects." His eclectic program will showcase the new instrument's rich palette of sounds, drawing on both the German and French organ traditions.
