Brianna Mai Aguilera is an actor, singer, dancer and the token shorty of her class. Born and raised in the cultural melting pot of Miami, Florida, with roots in Latin America and Asia. A graduate of New World School of the Arts, Brianna discovered her passion for performance when she dreamed about singing the songs she heard on the radio. That never stopped by the way. Her artistic practice is rooted in the belief that humor can reveal the shared humanity beneath the identities that often divide us. Brianna is especially passionate about representation and creating space for underrepresented communities onstage and on the big screen. Her energy, care, and courage makes her both a visionary and truth finder. She is drawn to stories that challenge stereotypes and allow people to exist beyond the narratives traditionally written for them. Through her work, she hopes to explore identity, cultivate trust within creative communities, and laughing until your face hurts as a way to create empathy and connection.
Outside of the arts, Brianna enjoys baking, spending time with friends, bedazzling anything that will sit still, and perfecting her Jennifer Coolidge impression. She is deeply honored and grateful to call UNCSA home. She thanks her family that has always encouraged her to follow her curiosity, embrace her individuality, and let a wild little girl chase her dreams.
