Chris Woods is currently the youngest endorsed performing & teaching artist with Phaeton Trumpets, signing on with the team in November of 2020. He is also currently teaching as a private instructor and a clinician with several public and private schools across the country. He has been teaching private trumpet lessons for the past 10 years, and clinics for the past 4 years. Chris currently resides in the Winston- Salem, North Carolina, as he pursues his graduate work with David Dash at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
As an able & proficient artist of different styles, he has performed in multiple musical stage shows at various venues, including the lead in big band settings, studio recording sessions, classical orchestras and musicals. Chris has recorded multiple performances and has experience improvising on his recordings. In Summer of 2023, he plans on releasing an album of trumpet and piano solos entitled "Reminiscence".
In addition to perfomances with university ensembles, Chris has performed with professional groups like the Capital Region Wind Ensemble, Brass Band of the Treasure Valley, Boise Serenata Orchestra and the Canyon County Symphony.
