If you asked Estella Boone where she’s from, she probably wouldn’t know exactly what to tell you. Growing up with a father in the Navy, she moved all across the United states before eventually settling in Dallas, Texas and calling it home. But please, feel free to ask her where she’s lived because she LOVES to talk about it.
Her passion for the arts began early in the dance studio, where she took her beginner ballet classes oddly serious for a five year old. However, after watching her older siblings perform in their high school production of The Wedding Singer: The Musical, she was tempted into the world of acting and hasn’t looked back since.
Estella is captivated by the way art can help us heal and connect with others. She is drawn to roles that explore our inner faults, contradictions, and vulnerabilities. She hopes her work can create a space where people feel safe enough to accept the parts of themselves they may not have been able to before.
Offstage, you may find her making vision boards on Pinterest, decorating her classmates’ homes, or blasting Janis Joplin in her car.
This year, you can catch her as Sapphire in UNCSA’s production of Almost Famous: The Musical.
