Jahleel E. Johnson is a SAG-E actor and performance artist from Willingboro, NJ, who attends UNC School of the Arts (UNCSA). Having acted since the age of 5, Jahleel brings an expansive passion to his craft that is personal, authentic, and soul-revealing. Having performed both on stage and screen, Jahleel loves stepping out of his comfort zone and learning about himself and\ the world through art.
When he began as Travis in a community theatre production of A Raisin in the Sun in 2010, Jahleel became infatuated with performing arts, especially storytelling in intimate spaces. From there, Jahleel took on roles that showcased his talent for conveying the human experience across a variety of plays and films. Jahleel is particularly interested in dismantling generationally ingrained stereotypes by exposing the diversity of the human experience irrespective of race, sexual orientation, or gender. Within this challenge, he champions his purpose. Jahleel works to be an artist of influence, striving to be a multihyphenate whom generations can look up to.
He can be seen watching Succession for the umpteenth time, supporting the closest Independent Professional Wrestling Promotion, and expanding his collection of '70s/'80s US Navy-issued seafarer dungaree bell bottoms.
