Judith Ann DiMinni is a New Jersey native who was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by the arts. Though she didn’t know it at the time, her love for theater probably began while she stood alongside her mother in pull ups ripping tickets for a local theater company. She had the privilege of growing up near Paper Mill Playhouse where her passion was nurtured and grown. She is thrilled to have landed at UNCSA where this passion was shaped and solidified.
Judith’s aspirations expanded as she got older and developed a fascination with film. She played the title character in the independent feature Bibi (Beatty Films) which was released in September, 2023. She just appeared as Jules in the short film 52 Pickup (Rhoxon Productions) directed by Abdul Stone Jackson, soon to be released.
This summer, Judith appeared in Prague Shakespeare Company’s Twelfth Night as a Lady in Waiting and U/S for Viola and Sir Andrew, where she got to perform at Venice Shakespeare Festival, Lunaria Teatro in Genoa, and Prague Castle! She also played Juliet in their summer intensive production of Romeo and Juliet.
At UNCSA, Judith most recently played Anya in Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard and is soon to appear as Acoetes/Philomela in Tales from Ovid by Tom Hughes.
Judith aspires to have a career in both stage and screen acting as well as producing her own work. In the spring, Judith will be performing in a piece she is writing for Keys to the Kingdom which she hopes to expand beyond her time at UNCSA.
When she’s not acting, Judith loves cooking, specifically her Italian and Lebanese family recipes, crocheting, and watching ice hockey with her dad and two younger brothers. She also has a strong passion for travel and finds inspiration in experiencing new places and cultures!
