Mary Kathryn Brown

Mary Kathryn Brown is an actor and producer from Kannapolis, North Carolina. She is the Founder and Co-President of the Stage and Screen Alliance, a student organization dedicated to fostering collaboration between the Schools of Filmmaking and Drama at UNCSA. Her passion for creative partnerships has led her beyond performing into arts administration and production, including work with her local arts council and a casting internship with The TRC Company in New York.

Outside the classroom, Mary Kathryn can be found crocheting her next scarf, reading the latest "Fourth Wing" novel, or riding her bike through downtown. A dedicated tinkerer, she also enjoys restoring and gifting bikes to her friends.

This year, she appears on stage as Colleen in "Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play" and The Moor-Hen in "The Moors." She is thrilled to work on material that challenges her to embrace vulnerability, playfulness and open-hearted collaboration.
