Olivia Daponde was born and raised in Sacramento, California, where she spent her childhood and teenage years acting at Sacramento Theatre Company. During her time at UNCSA, Olivia has appeared as Fuzzy Stone, Lorna, and other roles in Peter Parnell’s “The Cider House Rules, Parts 1 & 2,” directed by Quin Gordon; Poppy in Sarah Daniel’s “Neaptide,” directed by Ticket Knowlton; and Caroline in Dominique Morisseau’s “Detroit 67,” directed by Christopher Burris. In the spring, she will appear as Bella in the Keys to the Kingdom production of Patrick Hamilton’s “Angel Street,” directed by Caroline Cearley.
During her training, Olivia has acquired a love for stage combat and has gained several weapons certifications, which she hopes to put to use in her career. When she’s not acting, Olivia loves to jam out to her favorite French hip hop music and practice Kung Fu. In the near future she hopes to dust off her backpack and go on more solo adventures abroad.
