Sophie Bennett is returning as an undergraduate student after attending the high school program as a Contemporary Dance major. She grew up in a small town in Oregon where she studied ballet for 12 years. At seventeen she moved to North Carolina to expand her conception of the art industry.
What is your fondest memory on campus and why?
One of my fondest memories at UNCSA was returning as a second year and feeling like I was returning home.
What advice would you give to prospective students?
My advice to prospective students is to not be too hard on yourself. It's going to get tiring, but remember that you're here for a reason! No matter your doubts, fears and challenges along the way, ground yourself with the passion you have for your art.
