Vivian is an actor and writer whose work explores the awkward, hidden experiences that make people feel isolated, creating space for laughter instead of shame. Often described as a Kaitlyn Dever meets Lauren Graham type, she is drawn to guarded, witty characters searching for connection.
Her favorite UNCSA theater credits include Millie in The Mai and Roland in Present Laughter. She has eight regional professional theater credits, including work at The Kennedy Center and Signature Theatre, and has appeared in more than 20 short films. Her recent screen work includes a short film shooting in Germany, a collaboration between UNCSA and Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg.
Growing up in Puerto Rico, Vivian’s love for performing was apparent but upon moving to Washington, D.C. at nine, she discovered her passion for acting. While at school, her interests have expanded into writing, filmmaking, sketch comedy, and stand-up. She trained at The Second City Chicago and currently studies stand-up with Chris Grace.
Inspired by actor/creators, Vivian is directing Strangers, Exes and Drugstores this winter, a comedic short film she co-wrote and stars in. When not creating, she rewatches Hacks, paints, and quotes Saturday Night Live sketches.
