Staff Enrichment offerings slated for November

Lightbulb with dark backgroundStaff Enrichment will be held Nov. 18 & 19 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. (with a few exceptions). Programs will last one hour and be virtual unless otherwise noted.

Please remember that Staff Enrichment is for eight hours of time per month, so you may not be able to attend everything. Be sure to work with your supervisor to ensure sessions work with work schedules. 

Staff can choose self- or team-directed professional development in place of our monthly offerings, just be sure to work with your supervisor on details. Recordings of most prior workshops are available for use in self-directed enrichment time. 

If you are unable to attend the October sessions, save the date and mark your calendars to ensure that you can attend future sessions! The upcoming staff enrichment schedule is as follows: 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m.

ArtistCorp

  • 10-11 a.m.

  • Description: Join us for a virtual session introducing ArtistCorp, UNCSA's volunteer program connecting student artists with community organizations. Learn how students use their creative talents to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable professional and service experience. 

Adverse Weather: What You Need to Know

Byte-Sized Tech: Microsoft Teams Tips and Tricks

  • Description: Join us session focused on practical tips and tricks to help you get the most out of Microsoft Teams. Discover time-saving features, collaboration tools, and best practices to improve communication and productivity across campus.

Legislative Update

  • Description: The NC legislature and the 119th U.S. Congress are back at work. Come learn about what is happening in Raleigh and Washington D.C., including our campus and UNC System state budget priorities. It is going to be an interesting year. 

Creativity & Wellness: Crochet

  • Description: Join me for a fun and relaxing crochet session where creativity meets community! Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this session is the perfect space to learn, create, and connect. Crochet has been a passion of mine for years — it's not just a craft, but a calming, joyful way to express yourself. 

Wellness & Mental Health

Performance Hour

  • Hosted by UNCSA School of Music

  • Description: The entire campus community is welcome to attend these free, weekly performances showcasing student progress in the UNCSA School of Music. The pieces vary weekly and are determined by what students are working on this year. Be sure to register in order to receive updates on Performance Hour as they are available. 

StratComm Communication Methods

This session will help you navigate UNCSA’s communication tools — campus announcements, events, digital signage, and more — to share your news effectively. Casual Walk/Run Along the Greenway

  • Hosted by Ann Davis-Rowe, Executive Assistant, UNCSA Foundation
  • Location: UNCSA Campus – Library Bike Rack
  • Description: Come out for a casual walk or run; no one will be left behind. Faster folks can run ahead while others focus on fundamentals — and have fun doing it! Join your colleagues and have some fun while doing something healthy for your body and mind.
