Integrated Scheduling Initiative

The Integrated Scheduling Initiative reimagines how UNCSA structures time to better support the way students learn and balance their artistic and academic work, with an aim of improving student wellness, balance and collaboration across disciplines.

Developed through input from students and faculty via the Collaborative Scheduling Initiative (CSI), the new schedule makes it easier to enroll in required courses and creates a more cohesive daily rhythm. The schedule unites key academic dates, productions, performances and campus events into a single, comprehensive timeline. Features of the new schedule include Bridge Days, a reimagined Intermission period, SPOT courses, a Comprehensive Academic Calendar, faculty engagement and student wellness days; and enhanced scheduling flexibility with unified class start times and expanded DLA course slots.

The new schedule will be implemented in Fall 2026. Registration for the fall semester will take place from Monday to Friday, March 23 - April 3.
