Coming from a background of arts exposure through a community engagement project run
by my parents, I have always had a drive towards working with and serving under-resourced
populations. As I grow and develop as an artist and human at UNCSA, I am constantly
witnessing the power of transformation and discovery that the arts can have on one's
life. Engaging with music from an early age has opened doors that I am not even aware
of, and starting my journey of passing on this experience to other children through
ArtistCorps represents a very important moment in unpacking, understanding and expressing
my gratitude for it.
