Ages 12-14
Level 5 students are expected to be competent in the vocabulary of the previous levels and have the artistry, technique, and musicality to develop more complex movement patterns with confidence and performance quality. They should have the maturity to work independently and be self-motivated as they refine their pointework, épaulement, and transitions between movements.
Class Schedule
- Ballet Technique Mondays: 5:15–7:15 p.m., Tuesdays: 4–6 p.m., Wednesdays: 4–5:30 p.m., Thursdays: 5–6:30 p.m., Fridays Ballet and Pointe: 5:15–7:15 p.m.
- Pointe Tuesdays: 6–7 p.m., Wednesdays 5:30–6:15 p.m., Thursdays 6:30–7:15 p.m.
- Men's Technique Wednesdays: 6:15-7:15 p.m.
- Progressing Ballet Technique Wednesdays: 6:15–7 p.m.
- Contemporary Technique Thursdays: 4-5 p.m.
Electives
- Progressing Ballet Technique Mondays: 7:30–8:15 p.m.
- Upper Division Ballet Technique Saturdays: 9–10:30 a.m.
- Senior Performance Ensemble Saturdays: 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
- Senior Jazz Technique Saturdays: 1:15–2:15 p.m.
Students must be at least 12 years old by the start of the fall semester to be eligible for Level 5. Audition is required.
