Beaux Arts Rules & Policies
Beaux Arts is an end of the year celebration tradition that takes place the weekend before finals.
Outdoor Carnival Reminders:
- Upon arrival, carnival attendees must check-in at tent outside of Eisenberg to receive wrist band, food ticket, and free water bottle.
- Bring One Card for check-In
- Waivers will be required for students over 18 who want to ride the mechanical shark. High School Students 18 and older must bring photo ID with date of birth to sign waiver.
- Bags (larger than 8x5) and outside drink containers are not allowed on The Hill during the Carnival. Small bags are allowed, but will be checked during check-in. Prohibited items brought to The Hill will be held at check-in table with employees.
- UNCSA Code of Conduct, Code of Integrity, and all other campus rules and regulation will be strictly enforced for students and their guests.
- Pets must be leashed and under control of a person at all times and not permitted indoors at any time.
- Campus alcohol polices will be enforced.
- No one is allowed to consume alcohol in public, regardless of age.
- No water guns or water balloons will be permitted at any time or at any location.
Policy for Check-In for Beaux Arts Ball:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate students must check-in on campus at the first floor of Hanes Student Commons from 9:30 p.m. to midnight and ride the bus shuttle to the venue.
- Undergraduates are allowed one guest, who is not a current UNCSA student and must be 18 or older. Guest must bring photo ID and register at check-in.
- Alumni of UNCSA must check-in as a registered guest of a current student.
- All current students must present their One Card to check in.
- All attendees will have pockets, purses, bags, etc., searched at the check in. Bags must be smaller than 5x8 inches.
- Clear and empty water bottles will be allowed at check-in and can be refilled at water stations at check-in and at the venue.
- No one will be allowed to re-enter the ball once they leave.
- UNCSA employees,employees of the The Ramkat, and police officers, at the venue or on campus, have the authority to refuse admission to anyone appearing to be impaired (regardless of age), or who is behaving disrespectfully.
- No alcoholic beverages will be permitted.
- Anyone appearing intoxicated or otherwise impaired, at any Beaux Arts activity, will be DENIED admission to the Ball. In addition, the impaired student protocol will be implemented, and students may be required to remain in the presence of staff or paramedic personnel until no longer impaired.
- Anyone found in violation of state/local laws or campus rules concerning alcohol/drugs, including tobacco, will be subject to campus disciplinary action and possible criminal prosecution.
- No one currently expelled/suspended/banned from campus will be admitted.
- Everyone will be required to wear their check-in wristband until they exit the ball.
- Shoes and clothing must be worn at all times.
Graduate Student Check-in:
- Graduate students, with photo ID, can check in at the venue (The Ramkat) before midnight or on the first floor of Hanes Student Commons.
- A guest of graduate student may not be a current UNCSA student and must have photo ID. (Only graduate students have the option to check-in at the venue.).
Guest Policy:
- Each UNCSA currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student is allowed to bring one guest to the Ball.
- Guest must have photo ID, must be 18 or older, and cannot be a current UNCSA High School Student.
- Guests may not be former students who have been expelled/ banned from campus.
- Guest must sign in with the UNCSA student host.
- UNCSA Alumni must check-in as a guest.
