The Welcome Squad is made up students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year at UNCSA who
return to campus in early August to participate in leadership training and prepare
the campus for the arrival of new students and their families. This is three-week
commitment begins with a 10-day training intensive and concludes with the first week
of classes during which the Welcome Squad coordinates a variety of projects to help
students adjust to life at UNCSA and connect with the campus community. The Office of Student Engagement team works with veteran Welcome Squad members to recruit and select this team in the early
months (February/March) of the Spring semester.
