An internationally acclaimed soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and educator,
Brett Deubner has performed with more than 90 orchestras in 14 countries. His debut
with the Grammy Award-winning New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, premiering Lalo Schifrin’s
Triple Concerto, led to engagements throughout the United States and abroad. His contributions
to the viola repertoire include more than 50 concertos composed and dedicated to him,
as well as 26 critically acclaimed recordings.
Deubner has also recorded with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, Läänesaarte
Kammerorkester, and the BBC Scottish National Symphony for Orchid Classics. As a chamber
musician, he has performed with distinguished artists including Pinchas Zukerman,
the Tokyo String Quartet and Carol Wincenc, among other collaborators in the United
States and abroad.
Previously, Deubner served on the string faculties of Temple University's Boyer College of Music in Philadelphia and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in New York and continues to serve on the string faculty of the Round Top Festival Institute.

To teach is to learn twice. I consider teaching to be a process where we encourage, motivate, inspire, and challenge students to not only find their potential but also to grow as irreplaceable members of society.
