The Composition program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts is dedicated to giving you the tools and opportunities you need to develop your musical language. Friday, October 12th 
Composition Seminar: Aprés Moi

Resident all-female new music ensemble plays for composers and discusses writing for their combination of instruments.  3:45 pm, Music Scoring Stage.

Tuesday, October 23rd
Performance: Me, Three

Faculty perform piano trios by Rebecca Clarke and Sheila Silver.  7:30 pm, Watson Hall.

Saturday, October 27th

Performance: Scott Shea
Scott Shea's senior recital includes performances of First Impressions, Night Music, Solar and Flute Quartet.   2:00 pm, Watson Hall.

Saturday, October 27th

Performance: Here and Now
Saxophone Professor Robert Young performs 21st-century American music, including David Biederbender’s Walking on the Ceiling, Eric Wubbels’ This Is This Is This Is and the premiere of a new composition by alumnus Nick Karr. 7:30 pm, Watson Hall.

Tuesday, October 30th
Deadline: Winston-Salem Symphony 

Deliver hard copy of orchestral score to Lawrence Dillon; one composition will be chosen for performance by the Winston-Salem Symphony in February.
