Kevin Lawrence Announces 14th Season of Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Burlington, VT

Founded by Kevin Lawrence in 2004, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival has become a major presence on the U.S. scene for serious young string players. This summer, from June 24-July 22, Green Mountain will welcome 185 students from the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America for a month of intensive summer study in Burlington, Vermont. 35 distinguished faculty from conservatories and music schools across the country - from Juilliard to the University of Southern California - will serve as mentors to these students, and will also present a concert series that has won multiple awards from the National Endowment for the Arts for the breadth and imagination of its programming. 

Each year these emerging artists and seasoned veterans come to Burlington to take part in the Festival’s distinctive combination of practice retreat and chamber music immersion, with its subsequent offering of performances on the campus of University of Vermont and in creatively chosen venues throughout the Burlington area.
