Checklist for College Graduating Students
What to do when to get ready for your big day of graduating from UNCSA!
November 1-30 Apply to graduate. Contact the Registrar Office if you weren't notified electronically.
January - February
Check Required Courses and Financial Obligations. To see if you are on meeting your graduation requirements, check Degree Works in your E-Z Arts student portal or contact the Registrar Office. See Student Accounts in E-Z Arts to see if you have outstanding bills. Only those students who have completed the requirements for their degree or diploma, and have satisfied all financial obligations to UNCSA are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.
5-16 Indicated if you have a preferred first name you would like called at the Commencement in place of your legal first name. Complete Graduation Preferred Name form. Completing the form does not make any changes to the student record.
5-21 Order cap and gown (optional). Herff Jones website is now available for you to make your graduation cap & gown purchase. Please act quickly so that you make the deadline to have the items shipped to you. The last day to order your graduation regalia online is Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Orders placed after this date may incur additional fees.
Rehearsal and Commencement. The University Commencement for the classes of 2020 and 2021 is 4 p.m. Saturday,
May 22, 2021, at the Truist Stadium, which is home of the Winston-Salem Dash Minor
League baseball team. Graduates will be allotted four guest tickets and the ceremony
will be livestreamed for additional access.
UNCSA will continue adhering to all of our current COVID-19 Community Health Standards including during our commencement ceremonies. This means masking (indoors and outdoors), social distancing, washing your hands, using hand sanitizer frequently and continuing to report exposures and positive cases.
