The professional opportunities listed below are made possible by the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust, the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts, the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Foundation and the UNCSA Office of Career Development.

SECU Public Fellows Internship Program

With the support of the SECU Foundation, UNCSA is offering five SECU Public Fellows Internships to current first-year through third-year students.  Each intern will work 330 hours over the summer and receive $5,000. The internship is intended to build future student leaders and build capacity at nonprofit and government agencies in rural North Carolina.

The William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at The Kennedy Center provides emerging theater artists with a wide variety of experiences bridging their academic training with the professional theater community.

Fellowships at Lincoln Center Education

Six candidates from the UNCSA Schools of Dance, Drama and Music are selected each year for the William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education (formerly Lincoln Center Institute). The fellowship provides emerging artists with knowledge of aesthetic education that will prepare them for work as artists in the field of arts and education.
