The Director of Environmental Health and Safety collaborates with the University Community to comply with Federal and State OSHA Standards to help keep our workplaces free of recognized hazards.

Recognition

UNCSA received a Gold Safety Award from the Department of Labor and the Safety Council for outstanding safety efforts, substantial reduction of injuries and the promotion of safer working conditions in 2022.

UNCSA received a Second Consecutive Gold Safety Award from the Department of Labor and the Safety Council for outstanding safety efforts, substantial reduction of injuries and the promotion of safer working conditions in 2023.

UNCSA Safety Program

The safety program at UNCSA is intended to provide employees with a sound, flexible framework for addressing the diverse safety and health issues that are intrinsic to our unique and creative campus. The plans, programs, procedures and guidelines within this safety program are intended to foster a proactive and collaborative approach to managing workplace safety and health.
