Performance Overview
As part of the Arts and Emerging Technology Residency, experience one of the most talked-about documentaries to emerge from the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. “The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocoloptimist” explores the rapidly evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and society, examining how the technology is reshaping the way we live, work and create.
Free and open to the public, the a/perture film screening is supported by Science on Screen, an initiative of the Coolidge Corner Theatre with major support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
Following the film, stay for a conversation with editor Davis Coombe, UNCSA Chancellor Brian Cole and Arts and Emerging Technology Residency Project Director Koven J. Smith. The panel will discuss the film and the questions it raises about AI’s expanding role in our lives.
