Performance Overview
What if living forever wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be?
A contemporary fable about wealth, death, our relationship with the natural world, and parents and children, “Eternal Life Part 1” pits an iconic American family in a wrestling match with humanity’s biggest question: what does our life mean? And when that life might actually never end, how do we make meaning in the life that happens along the way?
Directed by Helen Hayes Award winner Aaron Posner, this play is by turns funny and profound, personal and absurd, futuristic and familiar. Playwright Nathan Alan Davis, winner of the Lorraine Hansberry Award, the Steinberg Playwright Award, and a Venturous Fellowship, has worked on feature films and TV projects for HBO Max, Netflix, AMC, and Paramount.
