Emma is a third-year undergraduate student in the School of Dance with a concentration in Contemporary Dance. She is from Hickory, North Carolina, and can't wait to meet prospective students!
What brought you to UNCSA?
The first time I stepped onto UNCSA’s campus, I knew it was where I was meant to be.
You’re constantly surrounded by incredibly talented, dedicated artists; it’s impossible
not to feel inspired. The dance program provides intensive, professional-level training
that challenges you every day to become the best version of yourself. It is demanding,
but the support system you’ll gain and the growth you’ll see within your artistry
are so worth it!
What advice would you give to Prospective Students?
My best piece of advice for prospective students is to be yourself! Be open to new
experiences and take advantage of all the opportunities you are given. Being here
is truly a privilege, and the connections that you build will last a lifetime!
