Résumé
Luci Carveli

Luci is a theater director with a strong background in acting and dance who grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. While attending Fox Chapel public high school, she found work in theater through The Collective; A conservatory focused on preparing students for the kind of material they will find in college. Thankfully for both her school and conservatory working to build multifaceted artists she was able to gain experience as a costume designer, wig and makeup personnel, and directing student. She is now a first year student at UNC School of the Arts gaining her B.F.A in directing.

As an artist, Luci strives to bridge the gap between glamour and reality. Often wonderfully inspired by themes of vanity, cliche, and freedom, she explores theater through the vicious lens of perception and intention. She hopes that the uncomfortable reality theater shows will change the uncomfortability we have within our lives.

At UNC School of the Arts, she has so far assisted director and playwright Cliff Odle in Lynn Nottage's “Ruined”. And will be assisting director Michael Lluberes on “Cabaret”. Her upcoming solo work consists of a cut from “A Brief History of Helen of Troy: Everything Will be Different”.
