Miles Denny-Martinez is a second-year Sound Design student in the School of Design & Production and is originally from Charlotte! Besides the tight-knit community at UNCSA, Miles loves hiking, biking, and traveling with friends. He is thrilled to show prospective students how great it is to be on campus!
What brought you to UNCSA?
I have been obsessed with theatre since before I could read a script. In high school,
I got interested in sound design and immediately started looking into programs that
would support my ambitions as a theatrical sound designer. Not only is UNCSA a great
pick as an in-state student, it has all of the resources, diverse opportunities, and
most importantly, friends, to hit the ground running as a happy, prepared designer
in the future.
What is your favorite place to go in Winston and why?
I love biking the greenway by campus to the quarry or Salem Lake! It's never too crowded,
and you get some great views no matter what time of day you go.
