Community Music School

The Community Music School presents well-rounded music-making opportunities, including Saturday mornings with Mini Maestros (PreK–1st grade) and Chorus (2nd grade and up). CMS also offers group classes in Piano, Introduction to Solo Singing, Music Theory, and private lessons for wide range of instruments and styles.
 
 

Preparatory Dance

Preparatory Dance is the Triad’s preeminent dance education program for children age three and up. But learning does not stop there. Adult Ballet classes on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings are perfect opportunities for anyone looking to stay active through the art of classical ballet. No experience required. 
 
 

Acting Out!

Acting Out! offers fun and engaging acting and musical theatre group classes for grades 1–12 on the UNCSA campus and the Arts Based School. This year, we are excited to offer three brand new classes for the community: Creative Movement and Express Yourself: Building Stage Confidence for 1st–4th grade, both held on Tuesday evenings, and The Art of Comedy for 6th-8th grade. Also, join us for the first of our Musical Theatre Dance Workshops this fall, Film Dance: The Choreography of Ashley Wallen from "The Greatest Showman" on Saturday, October 4.
