Employee discount for UNCSA community programs
UNCSA's Community Programs offers a 20% discount for current faculty, staff and their direct dependents for
all fall and spring semester classes in the Community Music School, Preparatory Dance
and Acting Out!
Community Music School
The Community Music School presents well-rounded music-making opportunities, including
Saturday mornings with Mini Maestros (PreK–1st grade) and Chorus (2nd grade and up).
CMS also offers group classes in Piano, Introduction to Solo Singing, Music Theory,
and private lessons for wide range of instruments and styles.
Preparatory Dance
Preparatory Dance is the Triad’s preeminent dance education program for children age
three and up. But learning does not stop there. Adult Ballet classes on Monday evenings
and Saturday mornings are perfect opportunities for anyone looking to stay active
through the art of classical ballet. No experience required.
Acting Out!
Acting Out! offers fun and engaging acting and musical theatre group classes for grades
1–12 on the UNCSA campus and the Arts Based School. This year, we are excited to offer
three brand new classes for the community: Creative Movement and Express Yourself:
Building Stage Confidence for 1st–4th grade, both held on Tuesday evenings, and The
Art of Comedy for 6th-8th grade. Also, join us for the first of our Musical Theatre
Dance Workshops this fall, Film Dance: The Choreography of Ashley Wallen from "The
Greatest Showman" on Saturday, October 4.
