UNC Legal Special Enrollment now open
A Special Enrollment event for the UNC Legal Plan has officially begun, and there
are education session options available for employees to attend.
The UNC Legal Special Enrollment event is currently running in COMPASS from April
1-30. Faculty and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this special enrollment
opportunity to add the UNC Legal Plan to your benefits through the UNC System.
How can a legal plan help you?
The UNC Legal Plan provides access to a nationwide network of 18,000 attorneys – with
hundreds right here in North Carolina – who can assist you and your family with many
of life’s big and small moments – the ones you planned for and some you may not have
seen coming.
For only $13.66 per month, you’ll have:
- Assistance for a wide range of legal needs, including financial matters, home and real estate issues, family and personal matters, civil lawsuits, elder care concerns, and even minor traffic violations.
- Access to a nationwide network of thousands of vetted attorneys.
- A vast library of 1,700 digital legal resources, including estate planning tools; power of attorney forms; and other easy-to-use, self-guided documents.
- And much more.
It only takes minutes to enroll in this coverage during this limited special benefits enrollment period. Once coverage begins, you can immediately tap into the plan’s features. For example, with the UNC Legal Plan, there are no copays, deductibles, waiting periods or claim forms when you use a network attorney for a covered matter. You can meet with an attorney in person, via email or on the phone.
Or, if you’re the DIY type, you’ll have 24/7 access to thousands of digital legal resources at your fingertips whenever you need them.
