Student Advantage Week
We're excited for you to join the UNCSA Class of 2028 and start your journey with fellow aspiring artists! Our faculty sees your potential to excel here and beyond. However, we understand that transitioning to college life, from tackling higher academic demands to living on your own, can be a big adjustment. Learning to manage your time, maintaining wellness, and knowing when and where to find help will play a huge role in your success.
That's why we're inviting a select group of new first-year students to this year's Student Advantage Week (SAW). This program is tailored to help you face these new challenges head-on. You'll get to network, build your support systems, and of course, have plenty of fun along the way!
Important 2024 Dates:
- Wednesday, Aug. 7 Early move-in and introductory dinner
- Thursday, Aug. 8-Monday, Aug. 12 Activities & Workshops. See what past year's students got to do! (2023 Agenda PDF)
This exclusive session of Student Advantage Week is limited to the first 20 students who sign up. We're so confident in your potential at UNCSA that the Provost's Office is covering all costs—workshops, activities, and even room and board are all free for you. All we ask is that you fully engage by attending and participating in all the sessions and events. Plus, you'll work with a graduate student coach throughout the fall semester of 2024. This commitment to your growth is truly a unique opportunity.
Benefits of the program include:
- Early residence hall move-in
- Artistic identity development exercises
- Academic confidence workshops
- Small cohort campus orientation activities
- Graduate student coach support
- Fun recreational opportunities
- And more…
