High School Opening Day
The big day has arrived! Here are the next steps:
Step 1
- Commuter and Residential students have an open check-in from 8-11:30 a.m. on Aug. 13.
- Park in Parking Lot B(opens in new tab).
- University staff will give directions to your first stop at the SAAB Building(opens in new tab).
- All students bring a valid photo identification (drivers license or passport) or parents can vouch for their students, if parents have their own valid photo identification.
- All residential students at UNCSA must report all prescription medication to the Wellness Center utilizing the authorization for medication administration form (appendix 1) prior to the start of each semester. High School students who take prescription medication are required to follow the High School Medication Policy(opens in new tab) to assist with medication compliance and reordering, and to prevent abuse, loss or theft of medications. Please contact Health Services if any questions: Phone: 336-770-3288
Step 2
In the Semans Arts and Administration Building (SAAB) building you will:
- Check-in
- Pick up your Hold sheet and keep this with you throughout the entire check-in process. Admissions counselors will check photo identification (drivers license or passport) prior to providing students their hold sheet. Parents can vouch for their students, if parents have their own valid photo identification. Plan to clear any holds — including Health Department holds, Financial Aid holds, and Student Account holds — that must be cleared before parents leave campus. You can check holds information on the E-Z Arts student portal.
- Check-In with High School Academics.
- Get your room key, if you are a residential student.
- At the One Card station you will turn in your hold sheet to pick up your One Card (your student ID). Here's how to add money to your One Card. Photos may be uploaded to the One Card upload URL July 3-23 to have your One Card waiting for you upon your arrival. If you don't upload a photo, a photo will be taken during your check-in/orientation process.
Step 3
Return to parking Lot B and move your vehicle to the designated unloading zone and move into your room. Please display the parking pass you received during the check-in process. Moore parking passes will be yellow and Sanford parking passes will be pink. The parking passes aid Campus Police and High School Life directing move-in traffic.
Step 4
Check in at the Mail Center to receive important information about your campus mailbox.
Step 5
Parents and students follow your new student orientation schedule on the UNCSA Orientation Website.
