Alumni and faculty from the School of Filmmaking at UNCSA have connections to the 2026 Sundance Film Festival through work on films selected across multiple categories, including U.S. Dramatic Competition, World Cinema Dramatic Competition and more, in addition to a virtual roundtable. The festival, one of the most prestigious in the world, begins Jan. 22 and runs through Feb. 1 in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Filmmaking faculty member Andrew H. Brown served as director, cinematographer and editor on “Kikuyu Land,” which is premiering in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.
Filmmaking alumna Rebecca Green (B.F.A. ’01) is hosting a virtual producers roundtable connected to Sundance through Dear Producer, which is a platform where producers can share experiences, celebrate achievements and provide mentorship for the next generation. The platform was created by Green, who serves as editor-in-chief. The roundtable will feature producers with films premiering at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, including Kimberly Parker Zox for “Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty!” The webinar is free, and registration is required to attend.
Filmmaking alumni Andi Ralph (B.F.A. ’19) and Daniel Satinoff (B.F.A. ’12) served as assistant editor and cinematographer, respectively, on “Ha-Chan Shake Your Booty,” which is screening in the U.S. Dramatic Competition.
Filmmaking alumnus Zach Seivers (B.F.A. ’16) served as re-recording mixer and supervising sound editor on “If I Go Will They Miss Me,” which is in the NEXT category.
