Andrew Johnson

Andrew just closed his first show as a Technical Director on UNCSA’s "Elliot, A Soldier’s Fugue," the first of two productions he will lead this year. This production reaffirmed Andrew’s desire to explore the fabrication of non-traditional scenery and to realize a project from beginning to end.

He began working as a fabricator at the early age of 13 in residential construction, alongside his father, focusing on areas such as demolition, framing, cabinetry, and finish carpentry. These roots took hold and led him to invest in a career in live entertainment. There, he found a passion for creating imaginative worlds that provide an escape for others.

In the future, Andrew seeks to strengthen his skills as a scenic fabricator while pushing the limits of what is possible in live entertainment.
