Anna Newlin is a Pennsylvania native who followed her passion in hairstyling to a major in Wig and Makeup Design. After first earning a cosmetology license in Philadelphia, she moved to NC to study hair and makeup as an art form. Last year she worked on UNCSA’s "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" which piqued a particular interest in wig styling.
That excitement led to her supervising an elaborate production of Anastasia at MSMT last summer, keeping up nearly 50 wigs per performance. In the time that she’s away from theater, she has been managing a small home salon for campus friends. Anna thrives in a team environment and hopes to live her life making people feel beautiful, whether in a salon or onstage.
